About the project

The aim of this project is to investigate how the crisis response abilities of the public can be enhanced and what public empowerment policies are successful in realising this aim.

The project Public Empowerment Policies for Crisis Management (PEP) is a cooperation of several teams of researchers from January 2012 to December 2014. This EU-funded project is coordinated by the University of Jyväskylä and based on extensive ground work by research teams from: Mid Sweden University, Global Risk Forum – Switzerland, Inconnect – the Netherlands, Emergency Services College – Finland, University of Jyväskylä – Finland.
